About Us
Back in 1998, a group of locals were having a “Western Social Gathering” which resulted in a business meeting a short time later. 40 people each contributed $200 to get the ball rolling. Soon thereafter committees were formed to include representatives from the surrounding local towns and communities. Then it was off to tour several feedlots and gather information. The initial intention was to construct a 5,000 head background feedlot, but soon discovered that a 10,000 head feedlot was needed.
The goal was and still is to create and enhance local employment while utilizing and enhancing the local grain, hay, silage, manure, trucking and cattle industries.
Today RCCF is a 20,000 head feedlot which owns 20 quarters of land and rents an additional 5 quarter sections. We grow numerous varieties of crops for silage as well as some pulse crops.
We pride ourselves in employing a diverse variety of employees. This includes many local residents as well as foreign workers. The staff numbers range from approximately 16-18 full time and 6-8 seasonal employees. We have a new modern bunk house on site.
